Research shows that therapy animals can help to improve the mood and the overall quality of life for seniors There is less research on robotic pets, but there are some studies on them as well that show they can be very beneficial as well. (If you are curious to read some of that research, you can find it here.) The summary of that study states that robotic pets “should be considered as a useful tool” in helping people with dementia.
